User Guide: Question Categories for Compliance Management Application
Welcome to the Question Category module of our Compliance Management application! This feature allows users to create Question Categories and link to the Content Library. This guide will walk you through the functionality and capabilities of the Question Categories module in detail.
- Overview of Question Categories
Question Categories in our application is designed to store the questions and these question categories are mapped to Content Library. Question Categories play important role in survey to calculate the facility risk score.
Question Categories screen basically display Question Categories name, description, Status, Content Library and Active Questions available in the Question category.
In the Active Questions column, it shows the information of total question count available in the question category. In-active question categories will not display in the survey of the assessments.
Status column shows inactive when question categories status changed to Inactive.
Question Categories also created from new assessment and add question screens.
- Accessing Question categories module
Question Category module accessible for only Admin and Manager Roles.
To Access Question Categories module, follow below steps
- Navigate to Main Menu
- Select Content Manager module
- Select Question Categories menu
- Adding Question Categories
- Adding Question categories using Question categories screen
- Click on Add Category button
- Fill out the required fields, such as
- Question Category
- Content Library
- Click on ‘Save’ button
- Adding Question Category using Bulk upload
- Navigate to Main Menu
- Go to Content Manager
- Select Bulk upload
- Go to ‘Categories and Typings’ tab
- Select ‘Upload New Data’ to download the sheet
- Enter Question Categories in the sheet
- Click on Upload
- Editing Question Categories
Question categories can be edited using Question categories screen
- Go to Action Column
- Click on the Edit Symbol to change the Question category with following fields such as
- Question Category
- Content Library
- Status
- Description
- Click on ‘Save’ button
- Deleting Question Categories
Question categories can be deleted using Question categories screen
- Go to Action Column
- Click on the Delete Symbol
- Confirmation message displayed
Already mapped Question Category cannot be deleted
- Language Options for Question Categories
To cater to diverse user needs, the Question categories module supports multiple languages. You can select your preferred language from the dropdown menu located at the top of the screen. This ensures that Question Categories screen displayed in the selected language, accessible and understandable across global teams.
- Question Categories Events
Events shows the information of all the logs of the Question categories created, updated and deleted. . When Question Category is created, Events Action Performed is displayed as ‘Create’. When Question Category is edited, events action performed displayed as ‘Updated’ and when Question category is deleted, events Action Performed displayed as ‘Delete’.
Following functionality available in Question Categories events screen
- Filter options available and we can run and save the filters. Saved filters are reused for future use.
- Column Sorting is available for Sort By option by selecting the columns names Action Performed, Performed By, Module, Action Date and Action Info.
- Search option available by searching any word or text, if search text is available, it will display the search content.
- Downloading data of tasks event in pdf format
- Column display options available using hide/seek columns, if columns are not selected columns will not displayed in tasks events.

- Open the Question Category screen module
- Go to Action Column
- Click on the Right Symbol to inactive the question category
- How to Sort from Question Category screen?
- Open the Question Category screen
- Go to top of the screen
- Go to Sort By field by these items Category Name, Description, Status, Content Library and Active Questions.
- Select the ‘Category Name’ in the Sort By field, Category Name column is sorted.
- Select the ‘Description’ in the Sort By field, Description column is sorted.
- Select the ‘Status’ in the Sort By field, Status column is sorted.
- Select the ‘Content Library’ in the Sort By field, Content Library column is sorted.
- Select the ‘Active Questions’ in the Sort By field, Active Questions column is sorted.

- How to download the Question Category data?
- Open the Question Category module
- Click on Down Arrow symbol right side of the screen
- Data exported excel sheet
- Can we hide/seek Question Category screen columns?
- Open the Question Category screen
- Go to Right side of the screen
- Click on See/hide column
- Selected list items columns are displayed on the screen
- Un selected columns are not displayed on the screen
- Can we save and run the filters?
Yes, using filter options we can run and save the filters. Saved filters are reused for future use.
- How to Search records on the Question Categories screen?
- Open Question Categories screen
- Go to Search field
- Enter the data in the search field
- If searched record available on the screen, it shows on the screen
