Risk Watch Announces Incident Watch

July 2011 - A new incident tracking and reporting software called Incident-Watch was launched today from Risk Watch International’s Sarasota office. The Incident-Watch software allows organizations to easily track incidents that occur within their facilities including theft, vandalism, workplace violence, break-ins and a variety of other threats. All customized to the user’s preferences.

OSHA Fines Clinic in Murder - July 2011 - OSHA federal workplace safety officials have fined the organization that runs a Revere group home, where a Peabody mental health worker was stabbed in January, for not having adequate safety measures in place despite high probability of an incident occurring.
HHS Appoints Contractor to Conduct HIPAA Audits - June 2011 - the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) awarded to KPMG a $9.2 million contract to create an audit protocol and then audit covered entities’ and business associates’ compliance with the privacy and security requirements of the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA). The contract calls for as many as 150 audits of entities varying in size and scope before Dec. 31, 2012.

Office of Civil Rights on the HIPAA Risk Analysis - July 2010 - The Office of Civil Rights (OCR) releases their first guidance on Risk Analysis including how to incorporate NIST Special Pub 800-66 in finding appropriate solutions to IT weaknesses.


Automated ClearingHouse Risk Assessment Requirements - April 2010 - The Automated ClearingHouse used by Banks and Credit Unions tightened up rules for online wire transfers and protection of customer financial information.
